Intelligent Grain Marketing

We help

We Are Grain Marketers

We are a growing group of consultants working in Western Canada, who work together with grain farms to create customized grain marketing plans. These plans are created around your farm’s cost of production, cash flow needs, bin space capacity, personal preferences, market outlooks, and risk tolerances.

What makes intelliFARM different?
Bias Free

We do not buy grain. What does that mean to our clients? We carry no bias as to where grain gets sold. We keep our eyes and ears open for pricing opportunities provincially, nationally, and internationally.

Price Discovery

We are constantly looking at all pricing options from grain buyers in your area, so we know where to get the most money for your grain.

We have also had great success in ‘bundling’ our clients grain (no, not brokering it), in order to get bulk deals, which mean a premium for our clients. This is something a grain company will not do, because they want that grain in their own elevator.

Strategy Based

While we do hunt prices for our customers, a large part of what we do is making strategic recommendations based on both technical and fundamental factors in the market.

Independent

We are our own managers. That means, you, as a client, help mould our company. If farm clients want to see a change, or modification to the service, we can tailor our plan to suit your needs. There are no upper levels of management (other than ourselves), so we can move quickly to make changes, and adapt.

Using Futures & Options

We assist farmers in building option or futures strategies through futures brokers. Many producers are starting to participate in the options and futures markets as a form of risk management, and we are here to help with that process. This allows you to sell futures, or attach a put or a call option to a grain contract, and still give them the flexibility of selling their grain to ANY grain company.

Efficiency

Because we are our own managers, with minimal overhead, we can be priced more competitively. When a client hires us, that money stays right here in our farming community. At some companies, the revenues from consulting fees have to pay a minimum of 5 TIERS of employees and managers!

Sounding Board

We work with lots of farms, but we are also in frequent communication with other industry professionals, professors, and other experts. That means we can often share valuable tips or ideas we have learned, or, find an answer to a question that you might have.

Orderly

We couldn't find a good program for grain marketing, so we built our own platform; MyIntelliFARM. This allows us to track crop plans, COP, grain sales, futures and option positions, and overall sales pace. By utilizing cloud systems, both you and your intelliFARM advisor can access the data, working together to keep it updated – on and offline.

Simple Communication

Our timely communications are concise and easy to read. We only send relevant information you need to know; never fluff, marketing jargon, or information you don’t need.

"IntelliFARM’s services are a great “bolt on addition" to our management team. Knowing we have them pulling on the same rope as us we are able to focus on our other tasks and not lose time and energy trying to do everything. Their system allows us to stay on top of market trends and remain educated without drowning in information. This is the best money spent on our farm every year."

“I’ve grown to trust Brian and IntelliFARM, to the point that I can go through the busy season without paying close attention to what’s happening with the markets or which buyer has the best cash price.  Average price goal is established and they have a very good sense of the “big picture” and how to achieve it. For me, these are big assets in allowing me to put my focus in other areas and still get what we want for our product.”

“One of the things I like about working with Brian and IntelliFARM is that they are always looking at the markets. I follow markets daily as well but when things get busy during the growing year I focus on the production aspect of my farm. When sales opportunities arise, Brian calls me or I can call him to sort out the details and make a quick decision and continue on with my day to day.”
